Czas wojny przynosi ludzkie dramaty.Kiedy jednak cierpią niewinne dzieci dramaty te stają tym bardziej bolesne.W Dusznikach Zdroju istniały dwa domy Parkhotel i Hygiea/obecne sanatorium Zimowit/.To w tych domach rozegrały sie najbardziej dramatyczne sceny ,których udziałem były niewinne dzieci.W lutym 1945 roku przyjeżdżają do Reinerz Bad dwie siostry Klara Kotulska i Amalia Śnieżek ze Zgromadzenia Sióstr Notre Dame z Lwowa.Tutaj otrzymują w darowiżnie dwa domy i przygotowują sierociniec.W ramach ewakuacji w 1945 r. siostry prowincji śląskiej przywiozły tu ponad 100 dzieci z Wrocławia Ciążynia i Trestna. Siostry prowincji śląskiej wyjeżdżające do Niemiec zabrały dzieci, pochodzenia niemieckiego. Pozostałe dzieci niewiadomego pochodzenia, przejęły siostry pozostające na miejscu. Ponadto 60 niemowląt przywiezionych do Dusznik Zdroju przez wojsko niemieckie zostało bez opieki, gdyż ich opiekunki-pielęgniarki, uciekając przed Rosjanami, pozostawiły je. Na prośbę burmistrza siostry w Dusznikach Zdroju zajęły się tymi dziećmi. Część dzieci wysłano do Krzydliny, do Kłodzka, Trzebnicy.Jeszcze do niedawna prawie nikt nie wiedział o istnieniu tego sierocińca a tymczasem po dwoch latach przeszukiwań archiwów,korespondencji,rozmów dotarłem do ponad 200 nazwisk dzieci.Znana jest też liczba pracowników z nazwiska i imienia.Wygłodzone dzieci docierały do Dusznik Zdroju przeróżnym transportem.Wiele z nich umierało z głodu i chorób.Praktyka ukrywania po wojnie prawdziwej tożsamości dzieci sprawiła,ze wiele z nich nigdy nie odnalazło swoich prawdziwych rodziców.Wiele z tych dzieci miało nadawane przez władze nowe imiona i nazwiska oraz daty urodzenia.Po 70 latach znany jest przypadek,ze dziecko z dusznickiego sierocińca odnalazło swoje rodzone siostry.Trauma u tych dzieci jest ogromna.Nie wiedzą do dzisiaj kim są naprawdę.Na fotografiach odnalezione dzieci z Dusznik Zdroju oraz siostry zakonne ,które wówczas pracowały.Wszelkie informacje o sierocińcu można zgłaszac na email: dariuszskarbiec@gmail.com

The
time of war brings many human dramas. When, however, innocent
children
suffer, these dramas become even more painful. In Duszniki Zdrój
there were two houses: Parkhotel and Hygiea /currently known as Sanatorium
Zimowitz. In these houses The most dramatic scenes involving innocent children
took place.
In February 1945, two nuns, Klara Kotulska and Amalia Śnieżek from the Convent
of Notre Dame Nuns from Lviv came to Bad Reinerz (Duszniki Zdroj). Here, they
received those two houses and organized an orphanage. In the course of
evacuation in 1945, the nuns of the Silesian Province brought here (to Duszniki
Zdroj) over 100 children from Wrocław, Ciążyń, and Trestno.
The Silesian Province nuns departing for Germany took with them children of
German descent. Other children of unknown origin were being cared for by the
nuns who stayed. In addition, 60 infants brought to Duszniki Zdrój by the
German army were left unattended, as the nurses who cared for them, left them,
fleeing from the Russians. At the request of the mayor, nuns in Duszniki Zdrój
took care of these infants. Some of the infants were sent to Krzydlina, some to
Kłodzko, and some to Trzebnica. Until recently, almost nobody knew about the
existence of this orphanage. After two years of searching archives, correspondence,
and many conversations I found over 200 names of these children. Many of the
employees are also known by first name and by surname.
Starved children reached Duszniki Zdrój in various transports. Many of them were
dying of starvation and disease. The practice of hiding the real identity of
those children after the war meant that many of them never found their real
parents, as many of these children were given new names by the authorities and
new dates of birth. However, after 70 years since it happened, a case is known
that an orphan from Duszniki Zdroj orphanage found his true sisters (his
siblings). Trauma to these children was enormous. Even now, many do not know who they
really are.
