Ul. Szewska = Schuhbruecke Strasse

My  mom used to live on the Schuhbruecke Strasse, number 33 and number 44.  She lived in 44 till the War came to close to home and they had to flee.  So this post is a little walk down "Memory Lane" or Schuhbruecke Lane as it were:

The streetcar is coming! Watch out!

Now from the other direction.  You can't be too careful!

Some renovating going on on the Schuhbruecke.

We knew from previous trips that the 44 had been destroyed in the War, but behind it were still original buildings so we photographed behind the 44 as well to see if this brings any memories to my mom, at all.

Directly behind the 44.  This old building would certainly have been there in 1945.

 Here is the front of the "new" 44.  We walked around the backside on the left and checked the back views.

This is the Matthias Kirche where my mom attended for some time.  The last time I was here, I wasn't able to get a nice picture because of the scaffolding surrounding the building for renovations.  It was locked, so we weren't able to go inside at the time.
