This will be a short post! I have never met a fruitcake that I liked. Whew! Whoever invented that stuff must have been desperate...Yes, I do vaguely remember receiving some. They all had those nasty tasting candied fruit in them. What a waste of good fruit, don't ya think?
Although I am very much a German, German's have their version of the nasty fruitcake, too. Stollen,yuch and yuch. My parents like/love them. They are dry, even when they say that they are sooo moist. No thanks. There are much better ways to gain calories, if so desired. This is not one of the ways. This is all on this subject.
